Standing Stone, or Gallan, Bere Island

Dating from the Bronze Age, this is one of a number of Standing Stones to be found on the island. It is mysteriously sited where the mid-point of the longest East-West axis meets at right angles the mid-point of a minor axis running North –South. Said to mark the very centre of Bere Island. Does it?
